Dave Hilfman has been appointed as Interim Interim Executive Director for one of the premier business travel and meetings organization in the world, The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). Hilfman comes with years of experience and is well-known GBTA members, sponsors and leaders as a tireless advocate for business travel. He will join the new role effective immediately.
Prior to his latest appointment, Hilfman retired from United Airlines as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales in 2018. He was honored with GBTA’s prestigious ICON Award, which recognizes leaders whose contributions further advance the corporate travel industry in 2017. He has also been names of the 25 Most Influential Travel Executives three times in his lifetime.
Hilfman, began his career in the travel industry with Eastern Airlines in 1981, rose through the ranks at Continental Airlines before its merger with United in 2010. He also served as Senior Vice President at United where he directed a team of more than 800 who managed sales, relationships and revenue with corporations, travel companies and supplier partners worldwide. He also earned a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and is also a proud founding board member of Women in Travel (WINiT) and the non-profit Golfer’s Against Cancer organization.
