Eastern Kentucky floods have killed eight people in a blink of an eye. Governor Andy Beshear reported on Thursday. From the weather forecast, it is assumed the death toll will rise soon. The reason behind the flood is the constant rain that is causing an immense amount of water to drop. This might also leave damage in the city that will require years to recover.

Following this, Beshear declared an emergency for six states. The situation is likely to worsen as there are no possibilities seen to stop the rain. Among the dead, there was one 81-year-old woman from Perry County. According to local authority news, there are many people who are not found at all. 24000 houses are left without any power backup.

Evacuation centres were opened in state parks. However, Beshear has warned that the state of those evacuation centres is not that strong and many facilities will not be available. Roads are like rivers, with water very high. Trees and power poles are sticking out from the water. The national guards have started working to control the situation.

Fetching fresh water is also tremendously difficult in the flood water position.

A 30% chance is evident that the hard-hit area around the city of hazard in the Cumberland Mountain foothills would see hard rain continued in the weekend as well. On Friday, it is possible that the rain will continue as well. The National Weather has warned people to stay prepared for the worst.

The flood alert is continued. According to the governor, Kentucky is experiencing the deadliest flood ever.

Kentucky is a state that experiences moderate weather conditions. Tornadoes are common in April but flooding at this rate is very uncommon to be. This is the reason that the infrastructure is considerably weak in these areas. However, precautions are taken as per the need as the governor has stated.
