Digital campaign by VisitBritain launched to boost inbound tourism

VisitBritain has launched a digital campaign with Scandinavian Airlines to support the inbound tourism to Britain.

 

The campaign estimated at £150,000 will run for five weeks in Denmark, Norway and Sweden to promote travel to Britain and bring a surge in the visitor growth in areas concerning in and beyond London.

 

From Monday, April 1st onwards SAS will be launching new flight into London Stansted.

 

Destinations outside the Zone 1 is basically being focused by the campaign that will be encouraging the visitors to discover the London boroughs of Greenwich, Hackney and Richmonds along with other attractions in the city.

 

 

The main focus is on promoting cities and towns within a tow-hour radius of London that will be inspiring others to travel further and explore other areas like the Brighton, Oxford and Windsor.

 

 

This is the first time VisitBritain has partnered with SAS to focus on Scandinivia to drive the growth from northern Europe and convert the aspiration to visit Britain into the actual bookings.

 

VisitBritain Europe director, Robin Johnson stated that it was great  to partner  with SAS for the first time, amplifying  their  campaign to convert the aspiration to visit Britain into actual bookings.

 

 

Their campaign highlights the destinations and attractions that travellers can discover within a short journey from central London. Visitors from Scandinavia  have been rated by Britain for its fights and monuments.

 

The campaign will run across VisitBritain and Scandinavain Airlines online and social channels.

 

 

Scandinavian Airlines head of international marketing, Will Reed was delighted to establish a partnership with VisitBritain and be teaming up for this campaign.

 

 

He said that their travellers fly every week in thousands to visit London and by partnering with VisitBritain they aim to share more of the easily accessible places and hidden gems, either inside or outside of London, to explore and experience somewhere new.

 

 

 

There were 1.6 million inbound visits from Scandinavia to the UK in the period between January to September 2018 while the Scandinavia spent £918 million in the UK during this period.
