Director Tourism arranged webinar with the tour and travel operators of West Bengal

Today, Dr GN Itoo, Director, Tourism Kashmir, through a webinar, organized comprehensive discussions with the tour and travel operators of West Bengal.

The Director Tourism during the discussions explained the West Bengal tour operators in terms of the safety measures and Covid related facilities in place for the tourists interested to visit Kashmir. Also, he briefed them about the status of the tourism sector at present in view of the improving situation of COVID-19.

In the meeting, almost 80 delegates belonging to the Travel Agents Association of Bengal (TAAB) and Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) took part.

Dr Itoo explained the J&K administration has been doing well in stopping the Covid-19 spread to a larger extent with the help of massive vaccination campaigns and thorough testing process. He also added that the department has by now covered 80 percent of tourism stakeholders in the vaccination drives. He mentioned that the testing at Srinagar airport has been made easy and comfortable and they are also facilitating vaccination of the travelers interested in taking a jab here.
