Discover Autumn in Philadelphia with “Seasons of Comfort” at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia

Wednesday, September 1, 2021

Favorite

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia celebrates the arrival of autumn with seasonal offerings to inspire a cosy getaway.

Embrace the cosy season with a living installation by Jeff Leatham and Team Leatham. A striking mountain of off-white pumpkins and delicate pampas grass set the stage on the Level 1. The 60-second elevator ride reveals a wall of vibrant orange orchids, mango calla lilies, green hydrangeas and free spirit roses that change colours over time.

Cycle the City

Take in the crisp air and the changing foliage while on a bike ride with complimentary electric bikes for Hotel guests from local retailer Cadence Bicycles. With more than 200 miles (320 kilometres) of dedicated bicycle lanes and trails, experience the city through the eyes of a local and tour the City of Brotherly Love on two wheels. The team has curated three journeys with pre-set routes organized through “Ride with GPS.” The “Scenic Route” along the Schuylkill River Trail and into Wissahickon Valley Park; the “Footsteps of William Penn” route to discover Philadelphia’s five main squares, which date back to the city’s original design in 1682; and finally, the “Mural Mile” to experience the nation’s largest public art program just beyond the Hotel’s doorstep.

To enhance the journey, guests have the option to pre-order snacks or lunch curated by Executive Chef Maxime Michaud including a selection of charcuterie, seasonal fruit and an assortment of fresh baked cookies. Picnic lunches are packaged and ready to eat. Complimentary e-bikes available in September 2021.

Balance and Align

The ancient practice of chakra balancing meets modern needs with Seasons of Chakras – a holistic massage for body, mind and spirit. Seasons of Chakras Sensorial Journey is inspired by the seven chakras, targeting key areas of the body with gentle pressure along with seasonal essential oils to stimulate and open each chakra. Retreat to a deep sense of calm while savouring the familiar aromas of fall spices such as nutmeg, cardamom, orange, clove, rosemary, eucalyptus and juniper berry while taking in all of Philadelphia. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia was recently awarded “Best Spa with a View” by Philadelphia Magazine.

Hotel guests can escape above the clouds to relax and rejuvenate with special weekend offerings including fruit smoothies served on the pool deck, refreshing face mist and cooled face towels. The pool is reserved as an exclusive amenity for registered Hotel guests.

Harvest Flavours

Guests can enjoy unobstructed views of the changing foliage from the top of the city while dining at JG SkyHigh. Sip on warm seasonal cocktails and groove to jazzy tunes with weekly Elevated Sound performances by local musicians and up-and-coming student artists.

Vernick Fish diners can anticipate a gradual introduction of new dishes over the course of the entire fall season, where Chefs Greg Vernick and Andrew Parassio will incorporate hyper-seasonal ingredients and flavours that shine in the Philadelphia region.

This fall, Jean-Georges Philadelphia will also re-open, helmed by new Chef de Cuisine Cornelia Suhr. Official opening date to be announced.

Stay Longer

Pennsylvania has a longer and more varied fall foliage season than any other state in the nation, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Spend more time experiencing the fall foliage in and around Philadelphia with the Stay Longer Package — receive a complimentary third night in the city’s tallest tower. Hotel guests can expect a rotation of seasonal welcome drinks and treats upon check-in from Thursday through Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm starting on September 16, 2021.
