Disneyland confronts power outage, apologizes to visitors for halted rides

Disneyland ResortDisneyland has confronted with a major power outage on a busy day triggering a great inconvenience to its visitors on Wednesday at the theme park located in Anaheim in the western U.S. state of California.

 

The power outage led to the shutdown of atleast a dozen rides and other attractions a short while after 11.00 a.m. at Disneyland.

 

The park officials said that the outage was on account of a resort transformer issue. And the official Disneyland’s microblogging post mentioned that they had experienced a power outage close to Fantasyland and Toontown of Mickey.

 

Thereafter power had been restored to Disneyland on Wednesday afternoon.

 

A few of the park visitors expressed their frustration against the incident on a microblogging site.

 

Disneyland Park is the first of the two theme parks that were built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim that had opened to the public in the year 1955. The park is known to lure a large number of visitors daily.

 

The Christmas holiday season is among the most busy periods of the year for Disneyland.
