District Administration of Kulgam organized the ‘Aharbal Mela’ in Kashmir for boosting and publicizing tourism, especially the Aharbal Falls.
In association with the Department of Tourism, the District Administration of Kulgam organized the ‘Aharbal Mela’ for the native and international tourists for taking delight in the stunning Aharbal Waterfall located in South Kashmir which grabbed the top attraction in the show.
The Mela was held near Aharbal Waterfall Park, which is a famous tourist attraction in south Kashmir during the summers luring a lot of domestic tourists along with foreigners. Visitors at the site take pleasure in photography in front of the waterfall to capture its unforgettable beauty.
Several kiosks were set up by various departments like Agriculture, Tourism, Horticulture, Apiculture, Sheep, Animal Husbandry, Floriculture, KVIB, Handicrafts and other departments for supporting the tourism enterprise. The local culture, tradition, and traditional theories were also displayed.
Painting competitions were held in the event for students of several schools to take part and exhibit their talents.
Groups of boys participated in cycling and trekking activities organized for inviting more engagement. These events were formally started and flagged off by Bilal Mohi-Ud-din, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kulgam.
