Dominvs Group, one of the well known real estate investment, development and asset Management Company is going to develop the 193-bedroom boutique hotel at London’s Tower Bridge, having acquired it in 2014.
Jay Ahluwalia, a director of Dominvs Group, said that the travellers no longer want just a comfortable night’s stay, they want to be immersed in the local community.
The Dixon Hotel will offer an exclusive take on the boutique hotel experience offering guests neighbourhoods feeling in the heart of the capital city London.
Dominvs Group’s property was originally designed as a Magistrates’ Court and police station in 1905 by John Dixon Butler. This will undergo an extensive restoration to restore its original features, including its courthouse. The work at the hotel is being undertaken by contractor McAleer & Rushe.
The interior designing by Twenty2Degrees will include simple brickwork, large windows and modern furniture from British designers alongside more classic pieces and curated artworks from local artists.
Dixon hotel will support also local art with a cultural programme selected by the cultural committee of the hotel, and guests will have special access to local theaters and studios.
Dominvs Group is also developing a 132-bedroom hotel on Ludgate Hill, close to St Paul’s Cathedral in the City of London, a hotel on Old Marylebone Road in London’s Westminster, and a Courtyard by Marriott in Oxford.
The group has two hotels open, the Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Aberdeen Airport.
