The entire August issue of the magazine is dedicated to the island of Ireland. Called, ‘Irlanda 2019’, the magazine will reach around 40,000 Italian travellers – or potential holidaymakers – over the coming weeks.
Tourism Ireland in Milan, in conjunction with Tourism NI, invited journalists from the magazine to visit this spring and in 2018. The resulting August edition features stunning photography throughout and some great articles – including “In the Kingdom of Game of Thrones” (“Nel regno del Trono di Spade”), as well as information on the Causeway Coastal Route, Donegal, great food, cycling and walking.
“We are really pleased with the excellent coverage in this month’s In Viaggio magazine”, said Niamh Kinsella, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Italy. “It’s a really good way of showcasing Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland to a large audience of potential Italian visitors. Publicity is an important element of Tourism Ireland’s overall promotional programme, helping to raise awareness through the Italian media of the many things to see and do on a holiday here.”
Tourism Ireland is rolling out an extensive programme of promotions in 2019, to continue to grow Italian tourist numbers. The organisation is placing a greater focus on driving growth to less visited attractions and locations, as well as on driving business in the off-peak and shoulder seasons.
