Montenegro has immense possibility in terms of rural tourism development. However, it has already developed the core of the offer with several instances in practice. There are ethno and ecovillages in the north. They are the right examples of joining rural areas, homemade kitchens along with the kindness of the local population along with catunas and classic households.
Wine tourism is a good option in the central part, particularly in and around Skadar Lake while oleo tourism in the coastal area, explains Dr. Ilija Moric whose monograph “Rural tourism in Montenegro: Marketing aspect of development” is all set to be endorsed on Saturday within the Fall Colors Fair, at the Chedy Hotel in the Lustica Bay Tourist Complex.
In Montenegro, the Moric Family is the sole producer of olive oil which has an organic production certificate. Besides participating in family business, they are also into guest reception along with the presentation of the legacy of Lustica. Dr. Moric is a lecturer as well at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality in Kotor and rural tourism specialist.
