With visitation at its four tourist spots – Azad Hind Gram at Tikri Kalan, Guru Tegh Bahadur Memorial at
Singhu Border and Dilli Haats at Pitampura and Janakpuri dropping continuously and with people’s
decreasing interest, the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has requested businesses to advise ways on how these tourist spots can be invigorated.

DTTDC has also requested the businesses involved in increasing and functioning tourist amenities to share proposals on how it can make use of two available areas at IP Extension and Janakpuri, which were
assigned by the Delhi Development Authority for creating coffee homes, with the aim of delivering
decent facilities to people while receiving income for itself.

An official said that to consult with well-known agencies having adequate experience of increasing and
functioning tourist facilities, they have asked these bodies to deliver them proposals via email. They would
review the proposals and call the eligible bodies for a discussion. They might involve one of them as an
advisor for assisting them in redeveloping these properties.

While the Dilli Haat at INA, which was inaugurated in 1994 for boosting pastoral handiwork and was
improved and remodelled newly, lures a large number of individuals, the ones constructed in Pitampura and Janakpuri in 2008 and 2014 correspondingly, did not prove to be so well-liked.
