As per latest data world’s busiest airport for international travel got even more busier if one goes by the latest passenger numbers.
The total number of travellers passing through the terminal was 8.37 million in August and it surpassed the recorded visitor numbers about two months back crossing last year’s data by more than 100,000 passengers.
The airport served 8.23 million travellers in August, 2017. Around million people passed through Dubai International in 2017, up by 5.6 per cent from a year earlier. This made it the busiest hub for international travel for another year.
Airports Council International ranking showed that Dubai continues to stay ahead of the pack in terms of passenger traffic.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said the latest data showed that Dubai International has achieved another milestone and they will continue to break records, setting the bar even higher.
Recently the airport celebrated its 58th year in aviation industry, post its opening its first runway in September 30, 1960 , the airport has served more than 900 million flyers. The latest passenger numbers is a proof of the airport’s growth.
Griffiths said that their aim was to push the boundaries on the experience and provide the customers with the best.
There has been improvements in regards to shorter queue times, food and beverage, retail and other zones like spas , swimming pools that makes them stand apart.
