To build up future tourism leaders from young enthusiasts of UAE nationals, As Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) as part of a current project is partaking in this year’s Careers UAE.
To quote Ahmad Khalifa Al Falasi, CEO, Corporate Services and Investment, Dubai Tourism, ‘Careers UAE is an ideal platform for us to seek and encourage young UAE nationals to take up exciting positions in the tourism industry.’ Al Falasi pointed enthused the young UAE nationals about the role played by Dubai Tourism in enhancing Dubai to the world map and few of its best initiatives like Expo 2020. This would be a major platform for qualified UAE youths to help realise Dubai’s Tourism Vision of luring more than 20 million visitors by 2020.
The Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) has an important role in Careers UAE established under the arm of Dubai Tourism. It showcases the key Emiratisation initiatives like ‘Medyaf’ that focuses to attract as well as train young UAE nationals to build a future in Dubai tourism industry. Also, the Emirati Tourist Guide programme, Dubai Summer Surprises, the summer musical organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) which is an agency of Dubai Tourism to hire young and talented UAE nationals as volunteers for DSS 2017.
There will be 15 partners of Dubai Tourism highlighting different genres like retail, hospitality and entertainment at the DCT stand. At Careers UAE event, the Dubai Tourism stand is situated in Hall 6 as well as Hall 8 within the Government of Dubai Pavilion at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
