Did the last-minute introduction of combo tickets for the handiness of tourists make an effect on tourism promotion this Dasara? It didn’t appear so, if the figures are any sign.

To tourism, the impressive Dasara gave the much-needed increase as it’s claimed that more than five lakh people had viewed the finale. The muted celebrations of two long years actually set off revenge tourism in 2022.

Stakeholders maintain that dearth of promotion in terms of the availability of combo tickets was put forth as a cause why the plan could not make that preferred impact.

For the stakeholders, entering to the famous tourist spots with a single ticket was their long-pending demand. The government launched combo tickets, after many years of waiting, keeping in mind the imposing Dasara and tourists’ accessibility.

To tourist destinations, the stakeholders insisted on single-ticket entry as handiness for the ones who had to wait for the tickets outside the tourist spots. The rush is normally more and the waiting time for tickets goes up, on weekends, holidays, and Dasara. In an effort to make the entry seamless and keep away from waiting time at every destination, this idea was proposed and was finally accepted on a trial basis during the festivities.

In the combo ticket, Mysuru palace, zoo, Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, Brindavan Gardens, and Railway Museum were included. It was priced at Rs. 500 for adults and Rs. 250 for children.
