Christmas cheer is here!

The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for those around us.

Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection. The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for all of us the magic of the holidays.

Christmas is the day that holds all time together. According to Chris Davidson of travel research company MMGY Global, 53 percent of adults in the United States are making plans to travel in the next three months.

There’s more than handprint turkeys and pumpkin pie. Serve a side of humour this Christmas holiday through –

Taking the very first morning flight :- During the holidays, if it is notoriously difficult to fly because of cancelled or delayed flights it’s best to hedge and book the very first flight of the morning.

To escape the crowd, book early :- Since the airfare is expected to increase by 40 percent, experts, as such, recommend urging travellers to book beforehand.

While having to choose the right travel date to make the best of the deals, the cheapest day to fly for Christmas travel is Tuesday, December 21. One of the busiest days to travel would be Wednesday before Christmas, December 22, and the Tuesday between Christmas, December 22, and the Tuesday between Christmas and New Year’s, December 28. Leaving a day or two early and staying a day later can save you a lot of money and time spent in transit. Or consider flying on the holiday itself, when our traffic is lighter and prices are lower.

Choose hassle – free accommodation with leisure facilities :- Choosing an accommodation with a pool, spa and gym or at least a room with a view, with these facilities one can benefit the leisure portion of your trip.

Make use of your reward points :- If you have a small budget for the leisure portion of your trip, rewards points go a long way.. Use your frequent flyer points to pay for flights, accommodation, tours or dining. Having measured, choose deals that would earn you bonus rewards. Holding benefits for instance by booking with a Qartas accommodation partner, such as Accor can help you earn three points for every $1 spent. One can also connect their Qantas on Velocity membership to certain apps, such as the My 7 – Eleven app or BP to build up points, while using a rewards credit card on your purchases could help you earn upto 1.5 points for every $1 spent.

Christmas gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us. A season of joy, of gift – giving and of families united.

Stay merry with Sleigh bells this Christmas.
