Egypt Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby has said that the Egypt ministry is paying a great attention to the experiences that tourists witness during their visits to Egypt.
The ministry wants to make sure that visitors have a great tourist experience, which would turn them into repeat visitors, given the fact that Egypt has several and unique tourist places of attraction, said Shalaby during a meeting with Sri Lankan Ambassador in Cairo MK Pathmanathan. Various ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in tourism were discussed in the meeting.
Shalaby stressed on good relations between Egypt and Sri Lanka and the ministry’s eagerness to boost tourism cooperation with Sri Lanka.
Pathmanathan on his part commended the strategy adopted by Egypt to deal with repercussions of Covid-19 pandemic in general and its impacts on the tourism sector in particular. He said that Sri Lanka is hopeful about promoting ties with Egypt, focusing on tourism.
