Egypt is set to encourage tourism during World Cup 2022

Represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, introduced an international promotional campaign with intent to draw football fanatics of the teams taking part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This was organized in Qatar on 20th November and will continue till 18th December.


The CEO of the ETPB, Amr El-Kady, said that this campaign is targeting to display the facilities provided and attract the team fans participating in the world’s most watched tournament to visit different tourist destinations in Egypt as they are in the Middle East, which offers them with a special tourism experience addition to the World Cup.


He emphasized that this campaign was introduced in several languages, like, Spanish, English and Portuguese, and makes use of the recent technologies to deviate advertising messages to the Gulf region visitors.


To the World Cup attendees, Egypt will make visa procedures easy, who hold the “Haya” fan card. To all the holders of the Haya fan card, a 50% fee reduction will be offered during the tournament. The offer includes archaeological sites and museums associated with the Supreme Council of Antiquities.


Besides, hotels in few tourist cities in Egypt offer discounts in terms of accommodation for the holders of the Haya fan card.
