Eid Al Etihad Holiday Travel in UAE Sees A Tourism Industry Boom

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced revised schedules for its services during the 53rd UAE National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad. The changes will apply to Metro, Tram, public buses, marine transport, and Customer Happiness Centres, ensuring seamless transportation options for residents and visitors during the Eid Al Etihad holiday period.

The updated schedules are in effect from November 29 to December 3, 2024, covering one of the busiest times of the year for travel in Dubai. Passengers are urged to note these adjustments to plan their journeys effectively.

Public Buses

E100 Bus Route

• Service from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station is suspended from November 29 to December 3, 2024.
• Passengers are advised to use the E101 Route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi as an alternative.

E102 Bus Route

• Service from Al Jafiliya Bus Station is also suspended during the same period.
• Travelers can access the route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Mussafah Community.

Customer Happiness Centres and Vehicle Testing Centres

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres and service provider-operated vehicle testing centres will remain closed on December 2 and 3, 2024. Regular operations will resume on December 4, 2024. Residents requiring services are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Marine Transport

The RTA has revised operating hours for water taxis, ferries, and abras to accommodate holiday activities and increased demand.

Water Taxis

• Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3): 4:00 PM – 11:50 PM; On-demand service: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Booking required).
• Marina Mall 1 – Marina Walk (BM1): 10:00 AM – 11:10 PM.
• Full Route: 3:55 PM – 9:50 PM.

Dubai Ferry

• Al Ghubaiba – Dubai Water Canal (FR1): 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
• Dubai Water Canal – Bluewaters (FR2): 1:50 PM and 6:50 PM.
• Al Ghubaiba – Sharjah Aquarium (FR5): 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 10:00 PM.

Abras

• Old Dubai Souq – Baniyas (CR3): 10:00 AM – 10:50 PM.
• Baniyas – Al Seef (CR6): 10:00 AM – Midnight.
• Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City (BM2): 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Metro and Tram Timings

The Dubai Metro and Tram services have also been adjusted to meet increased holiday demand, ensuring efficient travel for residents and visitors exploring Dubai’s attractions during the holiday.

• Metro: Extended service hours for both the Red and Green lines.
• Tram: Regular routes with minor adjustments to match Metro schedules.
