Ekies All Senses Resort recently underwent a redesign program and expanded its offerings to include new rooms with a distinct ascetic vibe and a focus on absolute serenity. Ekies Resort joined hands with Athens based Agarch+ Architects and Fytron Landscape Design and drew inspiration from the area’s rich spiritual history to design ten brand new suites and five renovated rooms. The redesigned property envelop guests in an aura of mysticism and elevates their everyday rituals into acts of greatness.

Alexandra Efstathiadou, Owner, Ekies All Senses Resort, said in a press statement that seamlessly blending contemporary international design with Greek elements has always been part of the company’s DNA. She mentioned that the latest inspiration came from the nearby monasteries and the calmness they exude.

Giorgos Anagnostellis and Angeliki Pappa, Agarch+ Architects further added that the interiors of the new suites has newly established the ‘less is more’ approach. The company has taken cues from the ascetic tranquility of the stunning monasteries of Mount Athos.

The key design elements of the redesigned rooms are marble, bronze, wood and an earthy color palette. Natural materials have been highlighted both on a structural and a decorative level. The bed, pillows and curtains have been made with organic fabric. Some of the suites have baptismal bowls serving as water basins.

The walls have been painted with ecological colors and follow a color scheme of authentic local hues. The floors are heat-resistant combined with handmade ceramics and patterns similar to local Orthodox churches. The furnishing is done with solid wood complimenting the nude and concrete ceilings.

In addition, Ekies has redesigned its 300 sq. m. pool area to include a playful oasis for the little ones. The lobby has also been revamped with contemporary elements such as chairs from Vitra, Magis and Arper now co-existing with the old, wooden furniture. An all new herb garden close to the entrance provides the resort’s chef and bartenders with the freshest and most fragrant herbs.

With all its new changes the Ekies All Senses Resort has further elevated hospitality and will now offer guests an enhanced experience of a lifetime.
