El Palace Barcelona to reopen in September

El Palace Barcelona has decided to open its doors to guests once again on September 1. The hotel has also decided to launch a coronavirus charity campaign in collaboration with legendary musician Ronnie Wood. The property will be selling five two-night vouchers to stay in the El Palace Suite by Ronnie Wood that has been inspired and designed by the iconic musician himself. The funds will be used to help raise funds and provide support to the development of vaccines and medication against COVID-19 and its economic effects on local families.


The Palace Barcelona is an iconic Grande Dame hotel located in the epicentre of the celebrated Catalan city. It has over 100 years of history dating back to 1919 when it was launched as the former Ritz of Barcelona exuberating luxury and elegance. The hotel is situated in close proximity with the exclusive Paseo de Gracia, the emblematic Ramblas and many prestigious boutiques and restaurants of Barcelona.


The hotel recently underwent an extensive renovation and restoration of all public areas and its 120 rooms and suites. The recent addition includes the creation of the Rooftop Garden, a romantic 1,500m2 oasis in the heart of bustling Barcelona with more than fifty species of plants, fountains, pergolas and a pool, inspired by the Barcelona of the twenties and its sumptuous gardens. Guests and locals can be assured to experience new and exciting offerings on each visit with seasonal pop-ups combining gastronomy and entertainment such as the Winter Rooftop Cinema, Swiss Chalet and rooftop harvesting.


Friedrich von Schönburg, Hotel Manager, El Palace Barcelona said in a recent press statement that the hotel is looking forward to welcome back guests. He mentioned that with over 100 year history as one of the leading hotels in Barcelona, the hotel would continue to evolve while staying true to its heritage. He assured that the property will also continue creating new and innovative experiences that can allow local and international guests to return back. He mentioned that keeping in mind the present circumstances; the hotel wants to assure guests of a safe stay alongside a memorable and culturally rich experience.
