EasyJet

Less than an hour after initially taking off from the runway, the flight of EasyJet had to make an emergency landing at Manchester airport. The EZY1877, from Manchester, was making its way to the Spanish city of Bilbao. The flight took off shortly after 2.30 pm, before coming back to the airport after less than an hour.

A bird strike during take-off caused the plane to divert and land back at the Terminal One runway. All the passengers disembarked after the flight landed.

A spokesperson of Easyjet said that the flight EZY1877 flying from Manchester to Bilbao returned from airborne. A bird strike during take-off caused the emergency landing. The pilot returned to Manchester in line only after completing the procedure and safety protocols.

Shortly after this, all the passengers were safely disembarked. The airline then thanks all the passengers to understand and cooperate with them. Flight for Bilbao was arranged without any delay. The total time of travel to Bilbao is about two hours hence it is thought to be not affecting much.

Earlier EasyJet cancelled 16 departures from Gatwick. Staff sickness has caused the issue. The travel expense and the staff shortage have also caused Easyjet to cancel several flights, which in the long run has damaged the summer travel of passengers from both the USA and the UK. However, since Easyjet is very cost effective thus it is still a choice for many.
