Emirates AirlinesOn Tuesday an intercontinental flight that was headed for Newcastle was compelled to make an emergency landing.

Emirates flight EK35 was travelling from Dubai to Newcastle as was scheduled around 11.20 a.m. But then the flight had to make an emergency landing while approaching the Newcastle International Airport on account of a patient’s medical condition.

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) was called and a crew had met the plane on the runway where a patient with diabetes was then taken to the hospital.

A spokesman for NEAS mentioned that the flight had come in as was scheduled and that it had to help a passenger with a medical issue on board. He confirmed that the emergency landing was not prompted by any technical complication of the airplane.

He then said that the team of NEAS was requested to meet a diabetic patient who was then transferred to hospital.

Emirates had been contacted by a news media agency after this incident but then they have not responded for any comments.
