European Regions Airline AssociationERA Director General Montserrat Barriga has met with IATA and several other leading aviation associations this week at the IATA AGM, including Airlines for America (A4A), the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO), the Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA), the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) and Airlines for Australia and New Zealand (A4ANZ). International airline associations share common aviation issues and challenges such as access to slots, safety and security, competition, passenger rights and Brexit, and the trade bodies work together for the benefit of the industry and its customers all around the world.

“I am delighted to attend this year’s IATA AGM. ERA works closely with IATA and other aviation associations globally to promote a healthy, safe and growing aviation market,” commented Montserrat Barriga at the event. “The close relationship between ERA and other key airline associations continues to be of great benefit to the airline industry within Europe and globally. This highly productive event has reaffirmed the importance of working closely with our partners to defend, protect and support the aviation industry and I look forward to building further on ERA’s excellent partnerships within the global aviation community in the future.”
