Eric Hallin has been appointed as the new General Manager of Six Senses Con Dao resort in Vietnam. He comes with more than 40 years of experience in the international hospitality industry. His new job role comes with his work philosophy that a general manager is only as good as his ability to inspire, motivate, and empower his team.
Eric brings a breath of fresh air to the resort and its hosts with his arrival on the virgin island Con Dao. He is recognised for his marketing and human resources skills that have always yielded the best results. His expertise has been the main hands behind the success of various hotel properties including Six Senses Samui in Thailand. The property was voted as the “Best Hotel in the World” by Condé Nast Traveller readers in 2008.
Eric’s hospitality experience spans 40 years with special expertise in managing and marketing 5-star and 4-star hotels as well as resorts in Thailand as well as across Asia. He grew up in Europe and Africa and attended the Universities of Malawi and Stockholm before joining the travel industry. He is also fluent in multiple languages and has served the top companies across various countries including France, Greece, Maldives, Spain, and Thailand.
His vast range of experience and long time involvement in Asia has helped him create an immense network across the region. Eric has also held positions in PATA, Chambers of Commerce, and Skål. In addition, he has also contributed largely to community issues and local business development.
