Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has completed 15 years of service to India.

Celebrating this feat, the airline marked its anniversary in the country by hosting a blood donation drive at its airport office in Mumbai, in association with a charitable trust hospital, The Holy Spirit Hospital. To mark this occasion, the airline also distributed sweets to all guests flying in and out of Mumbai via its four daily services to the city.

Mumbai was the first Indian city to be served by Etihad Airways with the launch of daily flights in September 2004. Three months later, flights were also launched between Abu Dhabi and New Delhi. Today, Etihad Airways offers 159 weekly flights spread across 10 gateway cities of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. Seeing India as a cornerstone market that holds a strong historic relation with the UAE, Etihad Airways will continue to support growth in India by providing consumers with greater choice, convenience, and connectivity.
