Ratnagiri, well-known as Seema Golconda because of its unique structures in the fort in Rolla mandal located in Satya Sai district. This site for long remained neglected. Now, this historical fort is in ruins, and is situated close to the border of Karnataka with the historic significance it grabbed during the Pandyan and Chola dynasties and later on in the hands of Hyder Ali.

To safeguard such monuments from unknown treasure hunters, local volunteers didn’t keep any stone unturned. For its hidden treasures, the Ratnagiri fort had gained fame because it’s considered that famous poet Allasani Peddana in Sri Krishna Devaraya’s regime, after the fall of the Vijayanagara Empire, had migrated to Ratnagiri along with many Brahmin families.

On the hills, the fort has various types of attractions along with structures that draw attention of the tourists along with researchers in the Rayalaseema region. For Ratnagiri, the historians are looking for official acknowledgment in order to develop this region as a major tourism centre. However, the appeals didn’t materialize.

Paramesh, the Activist and his team along with locals of the village were trying hard to safeguard the Ratnagiri monument. A big Kalyani in the fort draws visitors due of its exclusive care. For the queen, it was constructed as a swimming pool. The bathing area of the queen also had a Brindavan of Lord Krishna, so that she can offer her poojas soon after the bath.
