Event highlighting the reappearance of Regent to Victoria Harbor

Organized in the Regent Ballroom, the important event attracted a wide selection of VIPs and community leaders. As guests came in, a red carpet run to the well-known white marble-made staircase, where generations of Hong Kong society have highlighted the most important events and gala occasions of life.

In perfect accord with the light show -“Symphony of Lights”, Italian dancers changed the external frontage of Regent Hong Kong into a platform. The show was the first vertical façade dance in Hong Kong and was made active by Il Posto, a partnership between Wanda Moretti, choreographer and Marco Castelli a musician. Confronting gravity, the midair performance represented as a crafty transformation that blurred the lines between the built environment and the constantly changing Hong Kong landscape.

Also, guests wondered at the famous Aqualuna gliding across the harbour, its sails changed in Regent’s symbolic teal shade, inscribed with the Regent logo.

Daniel Aylmer, Managing Director from IHG Hotels & Resorts Greater China, said that the reappearance of the famous Regent Hong Kong heralds the development of their ultra-luxury properties in the Greater China. With Regent Hotels by now in exhilarating places like Chongqing and Shanghai and Regent Shanghai on the Bund scheduled to be the next addition.
