Events Industry Council launches new virtual event for the year

The Events Industry Council recently announced a new virtual event, titled EIC Advance from November 18-20, 2020 featuring three days of innovative education, peer-to-peer connection, on-demand programming, and unique CMP experiences. The event will be open to all event industry professionals and keynotes will be held in local time zones – one for each of the following: Asia, EMEA, Latin America and North America.


Registration will open in September with early bird rates, a bundle rate, and COVID-19 relief rates. EIC Advance will feature opportunities to earn CEs toward CMP and CMP-HC certification. Daily keynotes, concurrent sessions, and panel discussions with industry experts will include topics like Event innovation, programme design, virtual technologies, and post-COVID realities as well as Advocacy, APEX COVID-19 Business Recovery Task Force findings, sustainability and social impact, diversity and inclusion, wellness and personal growth and leadership and professional development.


Mark Cooper, Events Industry Council Board Member and Chair-Elect and Chief Executive Officer, IACC said in a statement that through the global forum, EIC will bring the whole industry together to strengthen global connections, learn from best practices in all parts of the world, enhance collaboration, and amplify the voice He shared that by opening to the entire business events ecosystem, EIC Advance will create education opportunities that are relevant across all time zones, to the benefit of people, businesses and communities.


Amy Calvert, CEO, Events Industry Council added that now more than ever, the industry must unify to support the global work force and champion global business events industry as a vehicle for economic recovery. She mentioned that while the industry continues to navigate the disruptions of the year, it has been given an opportunity to embrace a collective conscience and reflect, acknowledge, adapt, transform and envision a future that is stronger, more relevant and vibrant. She concluded that EIC Advance will offer a moment in time to come together to share and connect in meaningful ways and stated that together the industry is stronger, and together it can create a lasting change.
