Up until now, free in-flight wifi ranged from being offered in intermittent time bursts to being unavailable altogether, leaving many passengers to pay for incremental access. Dubai is one of the most exciting travel destinations in the world, famous for its luxury, innovation, and advanced tech, and is adding free, high-speed wifi to Emirates flights to improve the tourism experience in the city and travel flow to Dubai from international destinations.

There is already high traveller satisfaction with the Emirates airline prior to a holiday to Dubai. Inclusion of in-flight wifi will improve Emirates satisfaction and aligns with Dubai’s goals to be a frontrunner in tourism, tech, and luxury. With in-flight wifi, business and leisure travellers have the ability to work, save travel time, and stay productive and connected. They’ll also be able to share travel updates in real-time.

The wifi service will benefit international flights first from London, New York, Sydney, Mumbai, and Johannesburg. These are some of the most popular tourist destinations for people traveling to Dubai where, during a flight, wi-fi will let tourists communicate and receive updates from hotels. They will also be able to receive information and purchase tickets for popular sites such as the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, and the Palm Jumeirah.

Enhancing Travel for Professionals

The partnership between Starlink and Emirates will also benefit and enhance travel for business people. They will be able to more fully concentrate and remain productive during a flight. With continued wi-fi, they will be able to complete meetings, respond to emails, and get a great deal of work accomplished. There are business professionals traveling to Dubai more and more as it has become a global business center for finance, technology, and trade.

Having wi-fi enables them to be more productive and for the flight to be stress-free by getting work accomplished. They will be able to efficiently use their travel time by attending meetings, and able to communicate more effectively through emails and more. Now, the flights to Dubai or through Dubai will be more efficient and less stressful for business professionals.

Air Travel: The Future is Here

The introduction of complimentary high-speed internet on select Emirates flights is groundbreaking. Future travelers will enjoy this level of connectivity. Improved inflight service will almost certainly lead other carriers to adopt Starlink technology. Emirates passengers will benefit immediately, but the initiative’s success has the potential to improve the travel experience of millions around the globe. Wi Fi enabled internet also has the potential to increase business productivity on flights, adding value to the travel experience.

The Future is Here will be the experience business travelers and tourists will enjoy on select flights on Emirates and other carriers.
