Chef Hemal Shashika, a distinguished chef from Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, will add to the true spirit of Sri Lanka in his presentation of unique and distinctive flavours. The 10-day Sri Lankan Food Festival that begins from April 20th to April 30th 2018, will showcase some of Chef Hemal’s signature dishes.
Making the best use of his culinary skills, Chef Hemal will satiate your palate by highlighting the bold flavors of Sri Lankan spices in his zesty food. With his immense knowledge and expertise gathered over his 5-year tenure in the hospitality industry, Chef Hemal believes in preserving the originality of flavors in his exceptional cooking.
Hailing from Kurunagala in the North West of Sri Lanka, Chef Hemal found his passion for cooking in his mother’s kitchen. He reminisces those fond childhood memories by bringing out the distinct aromas and flavours through the art of immersing his food in the finest of spices and herbs.
