Promotion of brand India, a re-energized and well-marketed Incredible India campaign, primarily aims on experiential travel and increased budgetary allocation for tourism. These are some of the main factors essential for tourism renewal in the post-pandemic world, as per the industry experts.
On Thursday, Dipak Deva, co-chairman, FICCI Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Committee, explained that there were several opportunities to perk up the travel sector but it’s essential to start the work right now.
To quote Deva, who is chairman of FICCI Inbound Tourism Committee and Managing Director as well, SITA, TCI and Distant Frontier, “Every country is standing on the same starting line today. All of them want to open up after the pandemic and are waiting for customers. There is a huge opportunity for incredible India. The government needs to grab the opportunity and bring tourists back in a sustainable manner. It needs to bring a fantastic Incredible India 3.0 campaign that instills trust in India.”
While sharing his thoughts at the Hindustan Times Tourism Conclave here, Deva stated that the recovery of tourism in a post-pandemic world would definitely be requiring excellent promotion and marketing efforts to send out a message that for travel, the country is absolutely safe.
