Thailand’s tourism sector is gearing up for a vibrant finish to 2025, as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) targets 12 million foreign visitors in the final months of the year. Despite a forecasted decrease of 7% in international arrivals compared to last year, the country plans to drive tourism revenue of 580 billion baht through an array of high-profile events and festivals. These events are expected to enhance the cultural appeal of Thailand while boosting its tourism income, despite the ongoing challenges facing the industry.
Among the significant attractions for the last quarter of 2025 is the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival, which celebrates the long-standing cultural relationship between Thailand and India. The event will take place in the lively Khlong Ong Ang and Phahurat areas from October 16 to 20. With its Bollywood-style parades and cultural performances, the festival is expected to draw over 100,000 visitors, particularly from India, a rapidly growing source market. The revenue generated from this event is anticipated to surpass 200 million baht, contributing to the country’s overall tourism goals.

In addition, Vijit Chao Phraya 2025 is a light and sound show that will brighten the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Extended this year to 45 days (from November 1 to December 15), the show is set to bring in more than 1.5 million visitors and contribute to an estimated 500 million baht in economic activity.
