Extreme heatwave warning issued for parts of UK for next four days

The met office of the UK has issued another extreme heat wave warning of amber. The health condition of the vulnerable people might deteriorate. The temperature will affect national and international travel.

Southern and central England and parts of Wales from midnight on Thursday until Sunday will experience the extreme heatwave. The water in the Thames is warming faster than expected. A 14-year-old died while attempting to swim.

The UK is experiencing its driest weather since 1935.UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said that to handle this situation socially and medical care providing is necessary. The level two alert has been issued for the specific areas.

UKHSA’s Dr Agostinho Sousa emphasised that it is absolutely necessary to control elderly people and their health conditions. The elderly people have been warned to be prepared for the hot weather.

Between the start of this year and 6 August, the south-east has recorded 144 days of the average rainfall of less than 0.5mm. During these 144 days, 57 days did not see any kind of rainfall at all.

The Uk is becoming very vulnerable and dangerous. A wildfire has burned over five hectares (12.36 acres) of the region. 70 firefighters have been sent to control the situation. Fires have also spread on the outskirts of Ipswich, in Northamptonshire as well as in Reading.

Christine Farnish, who is a former board member of water regulator Ofwat has informed the BBC Radio 4 PM program that water companies are required to control their houses in order and look out for over leakage. They also said that the sooner the citizens wake up to reality the better.

UN’s climate science body, the intergovernmental Panel said this is the hottest period in 125000 years. The world has warmed by 1.1C since the industrial era brought in.
