How long have been to the Europe?
For locals, the perilous pandemic has made foreign trips a tough mission, however, the wish to travel hasn’t got muted by the coronavirus or by the damaging lockdown effects.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, a tiny travel bazaar in a historical villa in downtown Changning District has turned into a famous attraction.
Between Friday and Sunday, over 500 citizens rushed to the European Travel Fair in the Anhe Garden Hotel. This happened not just to buy European products, taste foreign delicacies, take shots with ski boards for the Alps or indulge in Bavarian forest camping, but also to know about the recent travel information and get ready for a probable tour in the coming days.
The fair was arranged on a piece of small grassland at the backyard of the hotel which was a 1925 built German-style residence. As part of the Shanghai Style Fashion Festival and the Double Five Shopping Festival of the city, the fair was designed by legendary architect Laszlo Hudec (1893-1958).
Tourism bureaus from Poland, Switzerland, Croatia and Sweden along with the Hamburg and Flanders took part.
Vincent Zhi, an IT engineer who is associated with a pharmaceutical firm in Zhangjiang high-tech Park in Pudong said that he just reviewed the feeling of overseas traveling and talked with other enthusiasts. Zhi also added that he planned a vacation with his girlfriend to Luzern, Switzerland, in early 2020. However, he had to reschedule the trip after the virus outbreak.
