The Nordic carrier Finnair Airlines will operate seven daily flights between London (Heathrow) and Helsinki, increasing seats by over 20 per cent. The service will start from March 31. 2019. Finnair’s new midday flight will depart Helsinki at 11:40, with the return flight departing from London at 13:50 each day. It provides quick and convenient connections in London with Finnair’s oneworld partners.
Christian Lesjak, Finnair senior vice president, network and resource management, said: “Finnair’s presence in London and in the UK has been growing steadily over the past few years.” He adds, “By adding the new midday frequency and flying an additional wide-body aircraft on the route, we will be able to offer even more flexibility and network connections for our customers.”
Finnair will further increase its capacity on the London route by replacing its single aisle A320 flights with a wide-bodied Airbus A330 offering more seats and greater comfort to customers. Fares from Heathrow start from 97 pounds return in economy class and 514 pounds return in business. Wide-bodied Airbus A330 offers 50 more seats.
New midday frequency and additional wide-body aircraft on the route, will be able to offer more flexibility and network connections to Finnair customers.
