China Southern AirlinesA flight of China Southern Airlines that was travelling from Nanjing was compelled to go for an emergency landing in Changsha on Monday night after a fire alarm went off on board.

The CZ6406 flight was originally travelling to the southern city of Guilin in Guangxi.

But it was then diverted to the Hunan capital as reported by one of the regional news media agencies of China. Thereafter the flight made a perfectly safe landing in Changsha on Monday night after a fire alarm went off on board.

The other airplanes close to Changsha airport were asked to make way for the flight as per the report.

Then the flight crew members decided to make an emergency landing after the on-board fire alarm was triggered, as reported by the carrier around 11 p.m.

After the aircraft touched down all the 151 passengers left through the evacuation slides, as reported by the media agency of the region.

Initial examination suggested that there has been no fire on the aircraft.

The cause of the alarm is still under investigation as per the carrier’s post.
