FITUR 2018 to organize Conferences on tourism innovation

fiturThe International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR 2018 has been scheduled to take place between January 17th to 21st in the Madrid Trade Fair. The fair will organize the Conferences on Tourism Innovation, entitled ‘Tourism Intelligences’, prepared by the Asociación Española de Expertos Científicos en Turismo, AECIT (Spanish Association of Science Experts in Tourism). On Thursday, 18th January, these conferences will take place in Room N110 of the Madrid Trade Fair, between 10 AM and 12 AM.

Lately, smart tourism has become a significant tool in terms of strategic management for any destination. The management of tourism data emerges as an innovative and influential tool for the smart tourism sector that certainly requires to be exploited by professionals as an important chance waiting to be used.

The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum, developed to choose the most popular tourist destinations in the world every two years from around 136 countries, has yet again ranked Spain at the top of the international tourism sector.

Juan Miguel Moreno, an expert in tourism innovation, CEO of More Turismo Internacional will chair this conference. The AECIT board members will analyze the significance of smart management implemented to tourism. Special cases from different organizations and nations will be studied and researched, and four skilled professionals in the field will analyze topics like the influence of smart tourism in countries’ competitiveness, the technology companies and their role in the future of tourism, the structure given to smart tourism by supranational organizations and the role of innovation in all of it.
