Fruit seller in the Damnoen Saduak floating market, 100 km away from Bangkok ThailandAs many as five floating markets would be promoted by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in Talingchan district of Bangkok as popular tourist attractions, as per Chakkaphan Phiewngam, who is the BMA deputy governor, who said this on Monday.

He mentioned that the five markets are based in Wat Champa market, Wat Saphan market, Lad Mayom canal market, Talinchan market and Two-Canals market.

Chakkhapan spoke after a ceremony that was held to promote the Two-Canals market that had been opened last year.

It was initially known as Wat Talingchan market. However, its name had caused some confusion with the old Talinchan market. Therefore, that name had been changed later.

He said that the Two-Canals market is based at the intersection of two canals, Long Wat Talingchan and Chak Phra.

The spot is beautifully flanked with trees making it an ideal tourist spot.
