After DeSantis referred to record domestic tourism during the May 4 appearance, Visit Florida President and CEO Dana Young said that the DeSantis-led drive to reopen businesses months after the pandemic has led to the improvement in the situation.

Florida has recorded four successive quarters attracting more than 30 million visitors. The sunshine state has also recorded three consecutive quarters with numbers reaching the top similar to the same time in 2019, when the state witnessed a record 131.07 million tourists.
