The Tourism Ministry of Greece is getting positive messages for 2022 with revenues and arrivals anticipated to surpass 2021 levels, provided there are no unlikeable developments that impact affect the tourism industry of the world on the pandemic front, ANA reports.
To quote Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias, “Greek tourism has shown remarkable resilience over the past two years, sending a strong message of safety to travelers and it will do so this year.” Kikilias, has underlined the lifting of the obligation to carry on tests for citizens with an active European certificate.
Kikilias also observed that in 2022 in Greece, a record of cruise ship arrivals is expected to come, adding that the first cruise arrived in Thessaloniki on February 5. Also, he underlined that the increase recorded in the cruise sector in Northern Greece reaches 300 pct, as the rise in Piraeus is also quite startling.
