The leaders of local tourism and the City of Cranbrook have recently introduced a survey. This initiation would help in the formation of a master plan for tourism.

The said plan for Cranbrook, City staff says will develop a vision and path forward to grab a community aided tourism objectives and become a destination visited by travellers all year round.

Chris Andrews, chair of the board of Cranbrook Tourism said that Cranbrook as a tourism destination has come a long way. We have different things to provide to the travellers as the doorway to the Kootenay Rockies with the right to entry to unbelievably adventurous outdoor recreation at the front doorstep along with a vivacious culture and history that first identifies the Ktunaxa homeland, followed by the colonial and rail history of the recent times.

This master planning process of tourism will permit us to put up on the powers to attain community-informed targets.
