Foreign Office issues advisory against “all but essential travel” to US

After the US extended a travel ban to Britain and Ireland  to slow down the spread of Covid-19 that has brought a halt to the daily life of many Americans, the Foreign Office has issued a latest advice.

 

 

A spokesman from the Foreign Office said that they have advised against all but essential travel to the USA following the US government announcement imposing restrictions on travel  from the UK  ( and Ireland) effective from might on Monday March 16 EST.

 

It is advised to those Brits with journeys planned and citizens already in the US to contact their airlines or tour operators.

 

Although the UK citizens are banned from entering the US but those US citizens were still allowed entry if they were travelling from the UK.

 

 

Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States stated that in their taskforce meeting today the president has made a decision to suspend all travel to the UK and Ireland effective midnight  Monday night, eastern standard time.
