Forest department & MNIT chalked out Nahargarh eco zone master plan

The forest department together with the Malaviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur will shortly will be get going with a zonal master plan of the economic sensitive zone of Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary.


To the forest, Jaipur Development Authority has already transferred the funds.


To quote an official of the JDA, “ The civic body can only issue the lease deeds to plots falling under economic sensitive zone of Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary after the zonal master plan is prepared. Funds have been transferred to forest department for carrying out the work. A study will be conducted and based on the survey, it will be decided in which areas non-forestry activity can be carried out in regulated way.”


Before, the forest department had declared 79.356 square kilometre area as economic sensitive zone of Nahargarh.

There many activities were not allowed. As economic sensitive zone in Nahargarh, the central government had informed an area to an extent differing from 0-13kms round the boundary.
