Forty-three diving spots planned in Türkiye’s eastern Black Sea area

Forty-three diving spots, designed to improve tourism happenings in Türkiye’s eastern Black Sea area, have been planned with the help of the new mission implemented within the space of readings of Ordu University’s Marine Science Faculty.


Professor Mehmet Aydın talking about the particulars of this project initiated under backing of the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA), said that thorough research has been done in the aquatic zones
concerning the town of Ünye in Ordu area and Hopa in eastern Artvin area.


As per their discoveries, apposite diving spots were recognized and the scheme helped increase
consciousness regarding biodiversity and marine livings in the area.


Professor Aydın said that the study’s statistics were accumulated to generate a catalog exhibiting the diving courses. In the immediate future, an online version of the catalog would be created, permitting concerned people to use it for diving in the areas of the eastern Black Sea.


Remarking on the work being undertaken, Professor Aydın said that they have recognized 16 diving ways in Ordu, seven in Trabzon, 19 in Giresun and one in Artvin.


Professor Aydın also added that they have figured out the most acceptable sites for the diving such as Ordu region, especially the districts like Bolaman, Perşembe, Yalıköy and Fatsa.
