Following a seven-month top-to-bottom renovation in the Mile-High City’s historic Larimer Square district, Four Seasons Hotel Denver reopens today. The multi-million-dollar renovation has completely transformed Denver’s ultimate urban oasis with newly remodelled guest rooms, suites, meeting and event space, all public areas and perhaps the most exciting element of the extensive renovation, the popular, progressive American steakhouse and bar EDGE introducse a fresh, new, modern look and an evolved menu to match.

“We are thrilled to share that we have completed a seven-month renovation project and have re-opened our doors to unveil our reimagined hotel and EDGE restaurant and bar,” shares Thierry Kennel, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Denver. “Our team is ecstatic to be back and you can feel the energy and excitement throughout the Hotel – it’s wonderful to have our family together again, ready to welcome our guests back and provide an experience that can only be Four Seasons.”

The creative, talented design team from Marzipan, the original designers of Four Seasons Hotel Denver when it first opened in 2010, focused on Denver’s architecture, urban geography, and vibrant social scene as three key elements to the design language for the renovation. The resulting design offers guests a modern and sophisticated space with a warm ambiance and lively atmosphere. The connection to the city and Colorado’s majestic Rocky Mountains, which gracefully frame the Mile-High City like a half-moon, are woven into the design with the layering of geometric and organic forms throughout the property – highlighting both the surrounding landscape with prevailing mountains as well as the bustling, artistically-inspired urban centre of the Centennial State.

“During the renovation, we really wanted to balance the warmth of the existing architectural finishes with icy greys, midnight blues and snowy whites – mostly cooler tones that spoke to the mountains and clear blue Denver skyline,” noted Molly Dunn, Senior Designer from Marzipan. “While the original design of the Hotel included darker features such as earthy, natural woods – these have been organically integrated into the new design, offering a palette and repetition of materials and colours that link all areas visually.”

The transformed EDGE Restaurant and EDGE Bar will welcome guests to experience Denver’s progressive American steakhouse with an earned reputation for quality and exquisite house-made culinary delights. EDGE Restaurant offers a brand-new refined menu featuring raw bar selections, fine aged cuts, cocktails and innovative dishes. “We are known as a steakhouse; our custom-built dry aged meat locker with procured world-class cuts combined with an unmatched preparation will ensure that we continue to impress our guests with our offerings,” says Jessica Biederman, Restaurant Chef of EDGE Restaurant and Bar. “Along with my talented culinary team, we have developed a menu that also highlights unique seafood entrées, as well as vegan and vegetarian dishes, to ensure that each of our guests has a phenomenal dining experience,”.

EDGE Bar has also been completely transformed. The original EDGE Bar has been expanded into three bar areas – spread throughout the lobby level in order to open up the entertaining space and offer guests the option of their preferred ambiance. The Corner Bar, just off of the lobby, will be an ideal location to grab an aperitif and perhaps enjoy some of the bites from the new bar menu. The original EDGE Bar has opened up to offer guests more space, and will often be activated with live music and entertainment. The al fresco patio off of the original bar has been redesigned and allows an outside option for guests. The third EDGE Bar is located inside the restaurant, spanning from the new raw bar all the way around to the private dining rooms.

Three private dining rooms provide additional options for guests seeking a more intimate dining experience. The Butcher’s Block is complete with a custom-built butcher’s block dining table where the culinary team will entice and engage with guests as they offer tableside demonstrations. The menus offered in this room are exclusive to this space for a truly one-of-a-kind experience that is entirely customisable. Appointed and designed with bespoke cutlery and china, the Butcher’s Block offers guests an immersive dining experience with floor-to-ceiling glass-wall showcasing the back-of-house talent in the kitchen.

The Spa has also reopened with enhanced safety precautions, offering guests, residents, and the local community a relaxing reprise. Guests can treat themselves with the gift of self-care with a deep tissue massage, a luxurious manicure and pedicure at the Level 3 Salon or one of the Spa’s signature experiences.

The banquet level has also been reimagined with a new, sophisticated, modern look throughout the 24,000 square feet (2,300 square metres) of event space. Conveniently located on the second floor of the Hotel, each of the ballrooms and private meeting rooms offers floor-to-ceiling windows with plenty of natural light and views of downtown Denver.
