2021 marks the ninth edition of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards and Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is recognised for celebrating culinary excellence with its restaurants Caprice at #28 and Lung King Heen at #47.

French fine dining restaurant Caprice is helmed by Chef Guillaume Galliot, restaurant director Samuel Vouilloux, restaurant manager Victor Judeaux and sommelier Victor Petiot. Since 2017, Chef Galliot and his team has brought the restaurant to new levels in execution and creativity. Chef Galliot’s personal journey through his career beginning in France to Asia is reflected on the plate with a unique expression of French gastronomy. His authentic vision is complemented by the exquisite dining room and renowned hospitality by the service team where every wine selection is a story and every movement a ballet.

Joining Caprice is Lung King Heen, which has been recognised annually since 2013 from the institution. Overseeing this pursuit of excellence is Chinese Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak, restaurant manager Jacky Cheung, and the team. While maintaining the refined tastes of Cantonese cuisine, Chef Chan has expanded his culinary vision in the past year, working with local organic farmers and sustainable meat producers to continue to push Chinese cooking into new frontiers. At the same time, the service team continues to elevate the wine and spirits offering, exploring new regions and exclusive cuvees for unique pairing opportunities.

General Manager and Regional Vice President Bill Taylor expressed pride in his team: “We have full respect for Asia’s 50 Best Awards, which has through the years relentlessly shone the light on the gastronomic community in Asia and become a compass for gourmands travelling in the region. The awards program further highlights the Hotel’s outstanding restaurants, brilliant talents and memorable dining experiences. It is a true testament to the dedication of our chefs and service teams. When guests dine with us, they can expect more than just a meal – they embark on a journey of taste; they will find a place to connect with someone they love; and we hope that when they finish, they leave transformed.”

The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2021 Awards aims to acknowledge local champions, celebrate the sector’s resilience and honour the leaders who have demonstrated innovation during the crisis. Since 2013, the ranking has been created from the votes of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential group of more than 300 leaders made up of food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and regional culinary experts, with a 50/50 gender balance.
