In support and celebration of Asian Heritage Month, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto and Yorkville’s Aburi Hana, known for its unprecedented Kyō-Kaiseki Japanese fine dining experience, have joined culinary forces for an exclusive Afternoon Tea experience. Only available Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30, 2021, this unique partnership marries modern French fare with elegant Japanese cuisine to create a stunning selection of offerings.

The special menu will feature a diverse variety of savoury light bites and delicate sweet treats dreamed up by Sous Chef Horacio Macias Leon, Pastry Sous Chef Kevin Levionnois, and Aburi Hana’s Executive Chef Ryusuke Nakagawa and Executive Pastry Chef Aiko Uchigoshi. Each offering is inspired by harmonising French and Japanese techniques and flavours.

Of the collaboration, Chef Horacio notes, “Chef Kevin and I have the utmost respect for the history, minimalism and techniques of Japanese cuisine. It is an honour to work alongside Chef Ryusuke on this exciting and exclusive approach to our popular Afternoon Tea experience, which showcases the sophistication and intricacy of Japanese cuisine paired with French flair.”

Lovers of the property’s classic Afternoon Tea can explore ten new items including a white asparagus brûlée and caviar tartelette, a waguri Mont Blanc and a yomogi raspberry macaron.

“We are delighted to collaborate with the esteemed culinary team at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto,” says Chef Ryusuke. “We are proud to share a part of Japanese culture in a meaningful and delicious way with Torontonians in recognition of Asian Heritage Month.”

The Aburi Hana and Four Seasons Hotel Toronto Afternoon Tea tower will be available for CAD 90 per person plus applicable taxes, while quantities last. Orders can be picked up at 60 Yorkville Avenue, Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30, 2021 between 12:00 noon and 7:30 pm. Orders can be placed courtesy of the Hotel’s online Takeaway Menu. Note all orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance of the desired pick-up time.
