In a protest against pension reforms, French air-traffic controllers have stopped work once again, more than 30 flights had been cancelled on Tuesday which were suppose to fly over rather than to or from France.

Three round-trips from Heathrow airport to both Geneva and Madrid has been grounded by BA, along with this two return flights to Barcelona and Nice have also been cancelled.

Links from both Heathrow and London City airport have been grounded and to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle.

While services to Basel, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse are also affected, so far about 5,000 BA passengers have had their journeys disrupted.

Passengers have been warned that the public transport services will be affected by the strike and it is recommended that all customers allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport and consider alternative transport options where possible.

However Air France mentioned that it will operate all its flight to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle and one in five domestic departures from Paris Orly will be cancelled.

Delays are expected to be high across France and all ACC ( area control centres are participating) and minimum service was implemented where applicable according to Eurocontrol in Brussels.

If the scale of disruption increased further cancellations might occur.

Four trains each way between London St Pancras and Paris Nord, and one round-trip to Brussels has been cancelled by Eurostar.
