From 15th July, 2021, Mauritius will be welcoming all international travelers. This year, the island will be opening in phases. The first phase will start from 15th July till 30th September 2021. Here all vaccinated travelers can enjoy a resort holiday in Mauritius.

Travelers will enjoy facilities within their selected premises of the resort, including swimming pool and beach. If guests stay for more than 14 days and successfully produce negative PCR tests during their stay in the resort, they can then explore the other attractions of the island freely. Nevertheless, for shorter stays, they may leave the resort earlier and travel back home.

From 20 June 2021, a complete list of pre-approved Covid-19 safe resorts will be available at the following website: www.mauritiusnow.com

18 years or over who are coming to Mauritius must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. They must undertake a PCR test between 5 and 7 days before going away and a negative result is required to travel to the island.

Also on arrival at the airport in Mauritius, travelers will have to produce a PCR test and on day 7th and 14th of their resort holiday, as applicable. From the 1st of October 2021, vaccinated travelers will be permitted to enter without restrictions in Phase 2 upon presentation of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.

Travelers who are not vaccinated will be subject to 14 days in-room quarantine for both Phase 1 and 2 respectively until further notice. The statement follows the acceleration of the vaccination campaign and the progress made towards herd immunity by the end of September.
