From 25 to 27 November, the TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit 2020 will be organized at the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (Fibes) in Seville and will be held in person.
The Central Government, the Andalusian Regional Government, the Seville City Council and the tourism sector took the decision this Monday in the city of Seville as a prelude to the TIS2020.
Mayor Juan Espadas emphasized the fact that the consensus around this event, aims to make the city a reference point in regard to innovation and technology in tourism and the fact that it will be arranged while protecting all health measures to stop the spread of the virus.
“It is feasible to organize this professional event with the health safety protocols and internal organization that have been drawn up over the last few months as health requirements have been approved. Together we are going to send a message of confidence to the tourism industry by holding a congress that will set the trend in terms of the use of new technologies, which will be crucial when it comes to restarting tourism once the pandemic is over,” said the Mayor to approximately fifty representatives of the TIS Advisory Council.
For her part, Silvia Avilés, Director of the TIS-Tourism Innovation Summit, said that “professional events cannot stop”. “We are a sector that contributes to the national GDP, as well as energising the market, creating new business opportunities and expanding the country’s business fabric”, she added.
